I moved to Diabetes/ Retinopathy Research to work for Dr Dodson in February 2004 as his Research Nurse for Diabetes/Retinopathy studies managing the studies and caring for the patients, and went on to facilitated the first Diabetes Retinal Screening course in December 2004 and have run these on a regular basis about six a year since.
My job title of Training Manager of Retinal Screening & Research Nurse obviously the latter speaks for itself but the training evolved from all the various courses which were linked to the original retinal screening course. I manage all the training needs and courses which pass through the centre.
